Esteemed Members of the Africa Youth Leadership Institute,
I am Yassah Subah, a passionate advocate for women’s rights and a staunch believer in the transformative power of youth participation in governance and decision-making at both national and international levels. Today, I stand before you, not just as a candidate, but as a committed leader ready to steer our cohort toward a future defined by *Accountability*, Advocacy, Exemplary Leadership*, and *Inclusiveness*.
*Accountability*
True leadership is built on the bedrock of accountability. It is through accountability that trust is established and maintained, ensuring that every action and decision reflects the collective will and best interests of our members. As your President, I pledge to uphold the highest standards of transparency and responsibility. Our leadership will be a model of integrity, where every decision is made with a deep sense of duty to those we represent. We will create systems that not only encourage but demand accountability at all levels, ensuring that every voice is heard, and every concern is addressed.
*Advocacy*
Advocacy is at the heart of my mission. Throughout my career as a journalist and mentor, I have been a tireless advocate for the marginalized, particularly women and youth. I believe in the power of collective action and the necessity of raising our voices to influence policy and create meaningful change. Under my leadership, AYLI will be a powerful advocate for the causes that matter most to African youth. We will engage with policymakers, build strategic partnerships, and mobilize our collective strength to advance the interests of our cohort and the broader African youth community.

Leadership is not just about holding a position; it is about setting a standard for others to follow. My journey—from my academic pursuits in Journalism and Public Relations to my professional experience at the Liberia Broadcasting System—has been marked by a commitment to excellence and a desire to inspire those around me. I have always strived to lead by example, demonstrating the qualities of resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment. As President, I will ensure that our leadership team exemplifies these same qualities, guiding our cohort with vision, integrity, and a relentless focus on achieving our shared goals.

Inclusiveness is the cornerstone of a strong and vibrant organization. Our leadership will reflect the rich diversity of our cohort, ensuring that every member feels valued and represented. I am proud to introduce the team that will lead us forward:
